While BJ Penn lost to Frankie Edgar in a unanimous decision at UFC 112 in Abu Dhabi also fot the co-event fight to win the UFC’s lightweight belt. Penn was the consensus No. 1 lightweight in mixed martial arts and is regarded as one of the top four MMA fighters in the world. Penn had trouble figuring out Edgar’s offense throughout the entire match as Edgar continuously moved around the octagon and changed his attacks. All three judges scored the match for Edgar are Doug Crosby scored it 50-45, Andy Roberts scored it 49-46 and Sal D’Amato scored 48-47.
